The Entello Group engaged Mediasphere to develop their online training portal on the Powerhouse RTO LMS. The Powerhouse LMS was integrated with the Powerhouse CMS to deliver a complete web solution that delivers a marketing website, e-Learning platform for their students, a training calendar, a schedule of training webinars all linked to an e-Commerce gateway to manage payments and invoices.

The Course Shopping Cart

The Powerhouse RTO LMS can be upgraded to include the Course Shopping Cart Module to allow your organisation sell a course set directly over the internet with e-commerce capability. When adding a new course to the course cart, our clients add a course title, course description, course profile image and the course purchase cost.

This information is displayed professionally on their website and the information is automatically linked to your secure payment gateway. If this gateway is not established, Mediasphere provide this service with a range of providers.  

Integration with a secure transactional gateway

The set-up of the course shopping cart includes the establishment of a secure online payment gateway using PayPal, SecurePay or a client’s own payment facility. The facility is programmed with the clients banking details to ensure that payments are made directly to the client.

No credit card or payment details are stored in the Powerhouse application as this information is managed securely by external credentialed gateway providers.  The Course Shopping Cart automatically passes the details of the selected course including the course cost and the transaction amount correlates to this information.

Automation of financial paperwork and account generation

The Course Cart has been programmed to automate account information after payment has been received in your bank account. Programming scripts trigger the following events:

  1. Your customer has selected and paid for one of your courses and code is sent back to your Powerhouse application advising that the transaction has been completed successfully
  2. Your customer receives an invoice and confirmation of payment via the email they entered into the shopping cart
  3. Your customer receives account information (username and password) to access their course immediately
  4. Your customer is automatically added to the User Module so you have their account details (not credit card details)
  5. If your customer forgets the account details they can reset their account automatically
